Alumni Board Elections

We invite alumni of diverse backgrounds to submit self-nominations to join the board of directors—the only elected, representative body of HKS alumni. The board, which comprises 23 members, seeks energetic alumni who advise the Office of Alumni Relations on programs and planning to improve alumni networks, enrich the alumni experience, and support the School and its students. Directors, who serve four-year terms, must attend two annual meetings at their own expense and participate in at least one board committee, which requires engagement with fellow directors, HKS staff, and alumni by email and telephone throughout the year.

Nominee criteria

  • Must be an HKS alumnus/a (degree-program or executive education)
  • Must be self-nominated

Role of board members
Members are expected to:

  • Think and work proactively to advocate for and support HKS, alumni, and students
  • Attend two meetings annually, usually held at HKS
  • Serve on at least one subcommittee
  • Actively participate in board discussions and deliberations
  • Participate in alumni programming such as reunions, events, career activities, and regional networks

The elections committee will contact candidates by phone. Candidates will be officially notified in April if they make the final slate.

Alumni board elections voting will begin on April 16th. Make sure your profile is up-to-date to receive an email when voting begins.
