Hien Dao, a proud member of the MPP Class of 2005, is the CEO of GoldenPathGuide.com, a start-up she co-founded in 2011 to help students in developing countries pursue education in America.

Dao has over 15 years of professional experience spanning education, finance, operations and media. She was most recently a senior consultant at UPD Consulting where she helped state education agencies implement effective reforms. Prior, she was a policy advisor in a leadership role for the City of New York’s Department of Finance and a senior analyst in Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s Office of Management and Budget.

She began her career as a journalist and has worked for the Associated Press and Bloomberg News reporting from North America, West Africa and Southeast Asia.
