A business executive who has lived and worked on three continents, Jorge has experience in business and economic development at a domestic and international level,spanning the private and public sectors.
Jorge is recognized for his expertise in providing strategic planning to companies in market entry assessment for the US and international markets, navigating the business environment, establishing partnerships, overseeing complex negotiations, and expediting the removal of barriers to expansion.
He was appointed by the United States Secretary of Commerce under two White House Administrations to the District Export Council, which enhances Economic Security and Trade between the U.S. and foreign markets. He has directed Congressional Outreach campaigns supporting passage of Trade Agreements with multiple countries, which were consequently signed into law.
Jorge has served in management roles in Silicon Valley at a $5.6 Billion NASDAQ-traded Broadband company, as President of a Chamber of Commerce, and as trade advisor to members of the Diplomatic Consular Corps. He is trilingual in English,Spanish and French.
He is a guest speaker on business, entrepreneurship and trade issues at forums including the California Governor’s Conference, Universities and the media. He attended the Diplomatic Program on Multilateral Systems and Negotiation at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.
Jorge is also passionate about mentoring and coaches youth on career pathways, minority leadership and civic engagement.
