Kate Mullally MPA 1998, vice chair
Kate Mullally recently completed several years as the Director of Licensing and Enforcement with Partners Harvard Medical International (PHMI) in Dubai Health Care City (DHCC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the world's first healthcare economic free zone. PHMI has been helping the Government of Dubai develop DHCC into a world-class location for health care, medical education, and life science research. Previously, Kate was a senior manager and Chief Counsel of a consumer protection agency in Massachusetts responsible for licensing and regulation of more than 450,000 licensees in a broad range of trades and professions. She also has worked in both the private and public sectors as lead trial attorney in a broad range of environmental cases, as corporate counsel for an internet start-up and as corporate counsel and director of new business development for a company specializing in the creation of public-private partnerships. Earlier in her career, Kate was a registered nurse and a public health specialist, working both domestically and internationally in Africa and Mexico. Kate served as a member of HKS New England Alumni Association, Inc., from 2001 to 2008. As its former chair, Kate facilitated the development of KSGne as a 501(3) corporation and organized and co-taught the first negotiation/conflict resolution course offered to HKS and Harvard alumni. As a member of the HKS Board of Directors since 2004, Kate has served on the Constitution and By-Laws Committee, was Chair of the Regional Associations Committee and currently serves as Chair of the HKS Alumni Awards Committee. Kate received a BS from Middlebury College, a BS in Nursing from Columbia University, a JD from Villanova University Law School and an MPA from HKS. |
