Yasmin Padamsee MC/MPA 2008

Yasmin Padamsee has 15 years of experience in mobilizing financial support and building strategic partnerships for the United Nations and nonprofit organizations in the U.S., Asia, and the Pacific. She also serves on the project board of Active Citizens, a new global British Council initiative. As the UN’s external relations specialist in Myanmar, she supports the UN resident/humanitarian coordinator to build and sustain close liaison with donors and the larger diplomatic community, including China, Russia, and India, as well as ASEAN. She also helps in resource mobilization and financial tracking for $380 million in assistance provided in 2009 to the UN and INGOs. Additionally, Padamsee works closely with international and local nonprofit organizations and ensures that their priorities and policies are appropriately presented to the UN.

While at HKS, she served on the Academic Affairs Committee as the international student liaison. As a board member, she intends to actively seek opportunities for alumni to contribute their skills and knowledge to HKS.
