Vanessa Tantillo MPP 2009

Vanessa Tantillo MPP 2009 studied abroad in Spain during her junior year of high school during the events of 9/11/2001, which inspired her to serve her country. She became a Foreign Service officer in the US Department of State. Her first assignment was at the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, where she served as deputy press and cultural attaché and vice consul. Tantillo is currently working as food security officer in the Bureau of International Organization Affairs, where she represents the United States at the UN World Food Programme, Food and Agriculture Organization, and International Fund for Agricultural Development in Rome. In 2014, Tantillo will begin her next tour teaching incoming Foreign Service officers.
