Individuals may be self-nominated or nominated by a fellow alumnus/a, Harvard faculty or staff member, or anyone associated with Harvard. Nominees must meet the specific selection criteria outlined below for the award. Nominations may be resubmitted from one year to the next.

The evaluation of each nomination will be based solely on the strength of the information included in the nomination and supporting documentation. All information will be verified independently and phone interviews may be conducted. Award winners will be presented at Reunion Weekend 2014.

To be eligible for consideration, the nominee must:

  • Have at least five years of volunteer activity in postgraduation service to Harvard Kennedy School
  • Have distinguished him or herself and demonstrated uncommon commitment by volunteering and serving the HKS community
  • Have a work or volunteer history that exemplifies HKS values

Employees of Harvard University and current HKS alumni board members are not eligible for nomination for Alumni Awards.
