Event Description:
Stephen M. Walt is the Robert and Renée Belfer Professor of International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School. Professor Walt is a leading voice on U.S. foreign policy and is the author of numerous articles and books, including The Origins of Alliances which received the 1988 Edgar S. Furniss National Security Book Award. Walt is a contributing editor for Foreign Policy magazine, and his recent article on Afghanistan, "High Cost, Low Odds," appears in the Nov. 9 edition of The Nation.
