Jose Carlos R. Pueblita, Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy and Research Fellow at the Center for International Development. He has worked at the Mexican government (Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Social Development) and as consultant for McKinsey and Cuasar Capital. His research interests include political economy, public finance and economic development. He has worked on understanding the relationship between the internal organization of political parties and the allocation of resources. He is interested in exploring how institutional design affect the outcomes of public policies. He has taught Social Choice at ITAM and Labor Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Kennedy School he was advisor to the Mexican Minister of Finance. Born in Morelia, Mexico, he holds a BA in Economics from ITAM, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
