Profile

Stefan Hoderlein is Visiting Associate Professor of Public Policy. His research areas spans the fields of Econometrics and Applied Microeconomics, in particular Consumer Demand. The common theme in most of his research is an emphasis on modeling heterogeneity in such unobserved objects like preferences or technologies, and their implications. A prototypical example is the estimation of the distribution of welfare effects of a gasoline price change, as would for instance arise in ecological taxation. Stefan obtained his PhD at the London School of Economics.
