Suzanne J. Cooper is Senior Lecturer in Public Policy and Associate Academic Dean. She served as Director of the Dean's Future Committee on Teaching Programs and has most recently been the Faculty Chair of the MPP Program. Cooper has researched the dynamics of income distribution, working on the effects of redistributional policies and educational finance reforms on intergenerational income inequality. She has also studied regime changes in the U.S. economy and their impact on the role for government policy. At the Kennedy School, she teaches Empirical Methods. She holds an A.B. in Economics from Smith College and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
