Alex Prud’homme is an American journalist and the author of several non-fiction books. Most recently, he wrote The Ripple Effect: The Fate of Fresh Water in the Twenty-First Century (published June 7, 2011).
He is a 1984 graduate of Middlebury College and attended the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. Prud'homme collaborated with his great aunt Julia Child on the book My Life in France, her memoir of discovering food and life in postwar Paris and Marseille. He has also written The Cell Game (Harper Collins) about the ImClone scandal, co-authored with Michael Cherkasky Forewarned (Random House) about terrorism, and
