Details:
In this final session of the semester, participants will have an opportunity to present and discuss challenge and opportunities to the field of gender and security. They will also be asked to complete a brief evaluation of the study group series. Feedback provided by participants will be used to inform the structure and content of future study groups or potential courses dedicated to the subject of gender, security and peace.
We are very pleased that Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former Under-Secretary-General
and High Representative of the United Nations, has agreed to call in for
our final session.
Amb. Chowdhury has recommended that participants read the speech on UN
Security Resolution 1325 that he gave at the US Institute of Peace in
Washington DC in November 2010. A link to his speech is supplied below.
A complete biography of Ambassador Chowdhury can be found here.
