Nicaragua, student Amanda Judge designed and wrote an
analysis of the socio-economic impacts of HIV in Nicaragua. In order to compile this
report, Amanda interviewed various actors, including Ministry of Health officials, rural
health workers, and NGOs involved in HIV prevention. In addition, she gained experience
in epidemiology and worked with the Ministry of Health to project possible futures paths
of the HIV epidemic.
The final report was a combination of substantial field and desk research, including
qualitative and quantitative analysis.
