CID Graduate Student Luncheon Seminar Series: Every Friday, CID hosts academics and practitioners of development from various disciplines and organizations to speak on current development issues, followed by a Q&A session. The core audience is masters-level students, although all students are welcome. Students are encouraged to play an active role in selecting and inviting the seminar speakers. CID Development Working Group: This year-long seminar is geared toward PhD students in the development field. The series is intended for Ph.D. students working in economic development and faculty with an interest in development. It gives students an opportunity to present research on various topics and priority to present is given to those who attend regularly. The Economic Growth and Development Workshop: This is a weekly seminar sponsored by the Economics Department. Many of the lecturers are economists from around the globe. The audience consists mostly of faculty members and graduate students from Harvard, MIT and other neighboring universities. Undergraduates are welcome. Fall speakers in this series cover issues in growth and development. Spring speakers alternate between the micro aspects of development and environmental economics.
