Ricardo Hausmann helps launch Graduate Institute's new research center

CID Faculty Director Ricardo Hausmann will serve on the advisory board of the Center for Finance and Development (CFD), a new research center at The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva.

Hausmann helped launch the CFD by delivering its inaugural lecture on November 21 in Geneva.

The CFD's research will focus on:

international finance and development finance in particular, including the role played by the international financial institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank

financial development, including banking and financial sector development in emerging and developing countries

microeconomics of finance and development

"I particularly appreciate the Institute and this new center – working from different angles offers new opportunities for reflection. Geneva's perspective on the world has always fascinated me, so I'm happy to serve as advisor and ambassador of the center to expand its influence," Hausmann told L'Agefi.

Jean-Louis Arcand will lead the CFD.
