This year-long seminar gives students an opportunity to present research on various topics related to economics in developing countries. The series is primarily intended for Ph.D. students working in economic development and faculty with interest in development. Priority to present research is given to those who attend regularly. Spring 2010 speakers alternate between "growth and institutions," focusing on the macro aspects of growth and development, and "labor and development," focusing on the micro aspects. Meets at MIT in the Spring 2010. Contact Gabriel Scheffler.

Seminar for students features academics and practitioners of development from various disciplines and organizations to speak on current development issues. The core audience is HKS masters-level students, but all students in the Harvard community are welcome to attend. Contact Jennifer Gala.
