Charles Best, CEF ’11 Alum, Awarded HKS New Frontier Award

December 12, 2013

Charles Best, a member of the inaugural cohort of Hauser’s Course in Exponential Fundraising, was recently awarded one of the Kennedy School’s New Frontier Awards for 2013.

Best was recognized for creating the website DonorsChoose.org, an online charity that allows donors to provide direct support to public school teachers and students for classroom projects.

The New Frontier Awards were created “to honor young Americans who are changing their communities—and the country—with their commitment to public service.”

Sasha Chanoff, a fellow member of Best’s CEF cohort in 2011, was also honored with an HKS award this fall, winning the Center for Public Leadership’s Gleitsman International Activist Award.
