Raffaele Mauro is an Empedocle Maffia Fellow and a candidate for a Master in Public Administration at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a venture capital professional with a passion for technology, policy and global finance. He has worked at venture funds including Annapurna Ventures, P101 Ventures, and OltreVenture. He has collaborated with the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, Harvard Business Review-Italian Edition, Bocconi University, Collegio di Milano and various branches of Confindustria, developing projects related to venture finance, entrepreneurship, and innovation policy. Raffaele holds a Ph.D from Bocconi University, with a dissertation on information and communications technology business history. He graduated with honors in Economics and attended the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program at NASA Ames Research Park. Raffaele is Junior Fellow at the Aspen Institute, was selected for the McKinsey EuroAcademy, won the Accade Domani social venture competition and became part of the “Young European Leaders – 40 under 40” cohort of 2011-12. He writes for Limes, the major Italian journal of geopolitics, and Aspenia, the policy review of the Aspen Institute. Raffaele is co-founder of Lo Spazio della Politica, a board member and Plain Ink, and member of the executive committee at the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Hub – Milano.
