The Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston strives to improve the governance of Greater Boston by strengthening connections between the region’s scholars, students, and civic leaders. A university-wide entity housed at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, the Institute pursues this mission by promoting emerging leaders, stimulating informed discussion, and producing new ideas. The Institute was founded and funded by the Phyllis and Jerome Lyle Rappaport Foundation, which promotes emerging leaders in greater Boston.
The Rappaport Institute mourns the passing of Thomas M. Menino, who was a great friend of the Institute and a great mayor of Boston. His passion for his city and for promoting young talent will be clearly missed.
