The Institute hopes to improve the governance of greater Boston by connecting elected and appointed officials in Greater Boston with leading scholars and promising students. The Institute develops and distributes policy-relevant research about key issues facing the region and hosts events in which leading scholars and practitioners discuss those issues as well. Many elected and appointed officials host Rappaport Public Policy Fellows. The Institute also helps fund scholarships for elected and appointed officials attending the Kennedy School’s Mid-Career Masters in Public Administration Program and school’s many Executive Education programs.
