The Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston offers students a variety of opportunities to learn about Greater Boston and to become more involved in the region’s governance. The Institute assists student research on Boston and it surrounding communities by connecting students writing senior theses and major research papers to information, research, and policy networks. Institute staff also discusses potential research projects with students to brainstorm about topics and define feasible research questions and connects students to policy makers and civic leaders within the Greater Boston community. The Institute also works with student groups to develop and host other public events on policy-related issues in the Greater Boston region and works with faculty interested in courses that bring students in contact with individuals and communities in greater Boston.
