Doctoral Fellowship Funding

The Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston awards dissertation research fellowships to Kennedy School Ph.D. candidates or other Harvard University students in related fields preparing doctoral dissertations on Boston-related urban policy and planning, economics, politics and governance, history, education, or social relations; public management at the state/provincial or local levels; or intergovernmental relations.
The fellowships will provide a stipend ranging from $500 to $2,500. Candidates should have excellent academic records and well-defined research objectives. Preference will be given to applicants whose projects have progressed beyond the conceptual stages of the research.
To apply, please submit a letter explaining the nature and current status of the dissertation project, a resume, sample chapter(s) or other examples of professional writing, a budget for the dissertation, and the names of two faculty members who can be consulted as references.
