The Gender Consortium aims to lead an inclusive dialogue at HKS about gender issues with a view to: encourage students to use gender as a lens to engage with policy issues; prepare students to manage gender issues in their personal and professional lives; and promote equitable gender representation at HKS.
Beyond the Binary is a collection of voices: students, writers, heroes, mentors, artists, photographers, poets, activists, scholars. We are transnational feminists, people who choose not to identify with Western feminism, LGBTQ rights activists, critical race theorists, agents of social change, and people from all over the globe. We are women, we are men, we are those who might identify somewhere inbetween. If you do not see your race, nationality, religion, or any other identified perspective reflected here, join us. Submit your voice. We are new; we are ever expanding.
We are housed at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and managed by the HKS student Gender Consortium. The editorial staff are all masters students in public policy at the Kennedy School, but we encourage submissions from authors from all walks of life.
WAPPP has limited funds available for student activities, events and projects. We accept funding requests on a rolling basis. If your group would like to apply for funding, please email Naisha Bradley and include:
