when: Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 5pm-6pm
where: WAPPP Cason Seminar Room, T102
Interested in becoming involved with a student group focused on gender/diversity? Please join us for a mixer with members of the Women and Gender Caucus, Women’s Policy Journal, Diversity Committee and Black Policy Conference. Hear about the mission of these groups and their goals for the year. Refreshments will be provided.
The Women and Gender Caucus aims to lead an inclusive dialogue at HKS about gender issues with a view to: encourage students to use gender as a lens to engage with policy issues; prepare students to manage gender issues in their personal and professional lives; and promote equitable gender representation at HKS.
Student chair: Zan Larson, zan_larsen@hks12.harvard.edu
The Women’s Policy Journal of Harvard, John F. Kennedy School of Government is a student-run non-partisan scholarly review that publishes interdisciplinary work on policymaking and politics affecting women worldwide. Bridging the divide between academics and practitioners, the journal seeks to educate and provide leadership that improves the quality of public policies affecting women with the intention of furthering communities’ economic, social, and political empowerment.
