Many Cultural Bridge fellows have built upon their summer internships after returning to the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2009, the Women and Public Policy Program supported four interns who used their 2008 internship experience as the foundation for their Policy Analysis Exercise (PAE/master’s thesis).
Laura Bacon
In her 2008 fellowship, Laura Bacon worked at the Ministry of Gender of Liberia. She used her PAE to analyze and review Liberia's Fairness Bill. |
Sheila Lalwani
Sheila Lalwani built on her fellowship focused on women's legal rights and used her PAE project to develop a guide for the United Nations on how to better address gender-based sexual crimes during times of war. |
Jamille Bigio and Jen Scott
Jamille Bigio and Jen Scott conducted a joint PAE project where they applied a gender lens to analyze how Iraq's internally displaced population is able to find durable solutions to their displacement. |
