Coming Up at OCA

There's always something happening at OCA! Please see our event calendar to view all scheduled events. For more information or to rsvp, students may login to JACK. Employers interested in participating in any of our career fairs or events may contact us by phone at 617-495-1161 or by email at: HKS_career@ksg.harvard.edu.

OCA will begin posting of Fall events for 2009 in mid-May.

Class of 2010 Summer Internship Survey
Please take a moment to let us know where you are this summer by completing the "Employer" portion of the Summer Survey. Some alumni groups may be interested in hosting networking events for you, and we'd like to be able to contact you if there will be events in your location. You will have the chance to return to your survey in September to complete the rest of the questions to evaluate your summer experience. To find out where your colleagues are, browse completed surveys by year or location in the Summer Survey Database.

Another way to find each other this summer: We are compiling a spreadsheet of where students are this summer which includes name, program, organization and summer location. Check it out in JACK’s OCA Document Library by entering “summer” in the keyword field. Not included and want to add your summer plans? Fill out the Summer Survey and we’ll add you to the spreadsheet. THANKS and enjoy the summer!

Class of 2009 Commencement Survey
The Office of Career Advancement is asking for your participation as we collect data on your plans post-HKS. Whether you have accepted a new job, are retuning to a previous employer, are continuing in an educational program or are engaged in a job search, we'd like to know. This survey will provide us with extremely important data on career trends of HKS graduates. Class data will be presented in aggregate form only.

The Commencement Survey can be found on the HKS Intranet in the Commencement Section. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Class of 2009 Official Alumni Record
To create your official Harvard alumni record and to access all alumni benefits, you will need to register with the Harvard Alumni Association (HAA) at the Post.Harvard website and establish a new username and password. Your new HAA ID# was sent to you via email by the Harvard Alumni Association -- if you did not receive it, please contact the helpdesk on Post.Harvard. Please visit Post.Harvard and follow the instructions to register using your HAA ID#. Beginning July 5, Post.Harvard credentials will be required for all password-protected HKS on-line services (JACK, alumni directory, etc.). Until July 5, your student credentials will continue to access the services at HKS. (Note: there could be a three-day delay between registering at Post.Harvard and the activation of your Post.Harvard credentials to access JACK -- so register NOW to avoid a disruption in access!)

Please note that your information on Post.Harvard must be "UNHIDDEN" line by line if you'd like others to see it. Any information you unhide in your Post.Harvard record will be viewable by all Harvard University alumni, HKS alumni, as well as HKS students. We strongly encourage you to unhide your information; this is the best way to participate in the rich alumni network Harvard has to offer and to avoid being excluded from important mailings and event information.

Although all information you unhide will be viewable by current HKS students, you can choose to make your information viewable to non-HKS current students by joining Crimson Compass through Post.Harvard. Crimson Compass is an online tool comprising alumni who have volunteered to share advice on topics such as industry opportunities, work-life issues, changing careers, and leadership.
