On-Campus Recruiting Program

Many employers – and prospective employers – of HKS students and graduates participate in our On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) program. OCA works directly with these employers, inviting them to hold briefing sessions to provide detailed information about their organizations and their current employment opportunities, and to post those opportunities (summer internships, fellowships, and full-time jobs) in JACK: Jobs and Careers at the Kennedy School, our job bank and career management system. Many employers will collect resumes and schedule interviews on campus. Briefings and other recruiting events will be posted in our calendar appear in daily HKS Today emails, and will be announced in our weekly emails.

The nuts and bolts of the on-campus recruiting process will vary depending on the specific needs of each employer. You will receive clear instructions through the OCA office as different recruiters visit campus. OCR takes place throughout the year, with the majority of activity in the Fall.

In addition to OCR jobs, fellowships, and internships, you will find many non-OCR job postings in JACK's job bank. Non-OCR positions are those posted by employers very interested in HKS students and alumni, but unable to visit campus.

Resume Books

OCA has created resume books in JACK that are viewable by all registered employers. If you have indicated in your JACK Profile (under “Preferences”) that you would like to be included in resume books, your uploaded resume will automatically be included in an All Student Resume Book (and an All Midcareer Resume Book for midcareer students). If you do not want to be included in resume books, indicate that on your “Profile – Preferences” page. In addition to All Student Resume Books, for those who indicate “yes” in their Profile – Preferences, we have created a number of industry-targeted resume books. You can choose to include your resume in any of these books in the “Document” section of JACK. OCA may also create specific resume books for employers who attend our networking fairs. We will notify you when these books are created.

Questions about our On-Campus Recruiting Program should be directed to OCA's Recruiting Manager.
