SIF Application Instructions

As a convenience to those students eligible for SIF, HIDIF, Carr Center Stipends, and/or Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government (CBG) stipends, we provide a common summer funding application. Although you may request consideration by all committees, you may NOT receive funding from both SIF and HIDIF. However, a Carr Center grant OR a CBG grant may supplement an award from either SIF or HIDIF. Please see the SIF eligibility information, the HIDIF website, the Carr Center website, and the CBG website for eligibility requirements.

A complete application for all funding requests includes the submission of the online application, and submission of a complete, collated and stapled hard copy for EACH of the funds to which you are applying of all of the following materials in the following order.  Please click on the links above in the red box for further information regarding these materials.

  1. Cover Letter
    Your cover letter, addressed to the appropriate committee(s), should package your materials and should also include any information that you feel will be pertinent to the committee(s) but that you have not included in your statement of purpose. You may wish to address your eligibility for all of the funds to which you are applying in the cover letter.  You may use one cover letter addressed to all relevant committees.

  2. Budget Form
  3. Current Resume
  4. Statement of Purpose
    Please provide a proposal describing your internship project. Include how this work will benefit the hosting organization, how the internship activities relate to your larger personal and career goals, and how you will evaluate the success of the internship. (approx. 750 words).
  5. Sponsor Letter

 
Please deliver all application materials (one complete, collated and stapled copy for EACH of the funds to which you are applying) to:
