This course introduces students to analytic techniques useful for managing and leading organizations. The course includes material on strategy formulation, decision-making and persuasion, performance measurement, organizational structure and interorganizational networks, working in teams, and operations management. This is a survey course, which also prepares students for higher-level courses in management.
The sections of the course share a common core but differ in emphasis somewhat in termsof content and teaching style. Students will be given descriptions of section differences and will have the opportunity to express a preference for a section. Open to MPP1s only. May not be taken for credit with MLD-110.
