Description

Introduces the theory and practice of entrepreneurial management in the private, public, and social sectors.  Prepares students for future work and leadership in and with entrepreneurial ventures.  Explores entrepreneurial strategies, organization, and leadership. Requirements: student presentations of group research project(s) about entrepreneurial ventures or leaders in government or the nonprofit world; substantial primary and secondary research;.  The instructor will meet with each group, at mutually convenient times outside of class, to help structure the project and coach the presentation; and an individual 10-15 page term paper on a past, present, or prospective entrepreneurial venture – applying the course insights to either a case study or a proposal/business plan for a new venture. Grades based 1/3rd on class participation, 1/3rd on the group research presentation, and 1/3 rd on the individual term paper. Enrollment restricted
