This module will cover the same ground as STM-411, but it is designed for intermediate students who already have basic knowledge of accounting and finance. The material will move quickly through core budgeting topics including activity-based budgets, cost accounting, capital budgeting, revenue forecasting, balanced scorecard, and performance budgeting. We will also focus on budget development issues (such as transparency) and execution. Students must already be comfortable with basic Excel functions, and the course will introduce advanced skills such as pivot tables and management of financial databases.
