This is a required second-year paper for students in the MPA/ID program, aimed at integrating course work by applying analytic tools to policy and institutional problems to produce practical recommendations and advice on implementation for policymakers. Students will work with seminar leaders, faculty advisors, and (sometimes) clients to conceptualize policy and institutional problems, analyze relevant information, develop and support recommendations, and advise clients on how to make those recommendations work given the variety of stakeholders and dynamics that operate in the clients context.
This course is required for second-year MPA/ID students and is not open to non-MPA/ID students.
