The aim of this seminar course is both to engage in careful reasoning about morally controversial issues (such as abortion, health care rights, torture, affirmative action, or others) and to consider the construction of public policies to deal with such issues. Every other week figures involved in advocating or constructing such public policies will present their views and be questioned by students and faculty. The seminar will meet once a week for 2 hours. Prerequisite: DPI 201 or some course in moral reasoning.
Not offered in 2013-14.
