This module covers a range of advanced topics on nonprofit financial management including: the 990 and other assessment tools of financial condition; opportunities and challenges of diversifying revenue streams; the role of debt and investment capital; social enterprise and the challenge of mission alignment; tools for assessing social impact and organizational effectiveness; mergers and strategic partnerships; hybrid forms of legal organization; and investment management for nonprofits. The course is taught principally through lectures and case presentations with periodic guest speakers.
