Biography
Professor Stephen Walt
Stephen M. Walt is the Robert and Renee Belfer Professor of International Affairs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He was previously Professor of Political Science at the University of Chicago, where he also served as Master of the Social Science Collegiate Division and Deputy Dean of Social Sciences. Professor Walt received his B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and his M.A. and Ph.D in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of The Origins of Alliances (Cornell, 1987), which received the 1988 Edgar S. Furniss National Security Book Award; Revolution and War (Cornell, 1996); and numerous articles on international politics and foreign policy.
