Holly T. Sargent
Holly Taylor Sargent is the Founding Director of the
Harvard Kennedy School
Women's Leadership Board.
She is also the founder and CEO of
HTSargent, LLC., a consulting firm
specializing in creative and entrepreneurial advice to non-profit organizations
and individual philanthropists. Drawing from her extensive background and broad
reach across industries, functions, and geographies, HTSargent, LLC., helps
people and companies explore extraordinary opportunities, manage and sustain
their philanthropic vision, and maximize revenue income.
Her primary non-profit is
The Rhodes Trust, the British
charity which runs the Rhode Scholarships around the world. She is also an
associate of Barbara Annis and Associates,
a global firm focusing on Gender Intelligence.
Sargent served 15 years at the
Harvard Kennedy School as Senior
Associate Dean of External Relations. In that capacity, she created several
university wide fellowships and was responsible for expanding support for
programs related to women and in rapidly growing the HKS into a global leader.
Subsequent to her service at the Kennedy School, Dean Sargent was promoted to be
Senior Associate Dean for Advancement and Senior Director for women’s
initiatives for the entire University. In this capacity, she created several
university wide fellowships and was responsible for expanding support for
programs related to women.
Concomitant with her successful fundraising career, Sargent
has been instrumental in launching and supporting other institutions supporting
women. In addition to developing the
Women’s Leadership Board,
Sargent was the Founding Director of the Council
of Women World Leaders, served on the Women Leaders Initiative of the World
Economic Forum, and is on the international advisory board for the
Cherie Blair Women’s Foundation.
Other board commitments include
Cloud Industries Health which was recently founded by
Professor Donovan of MIT, the
advisory board of
People’s United Bank (formerly Maine Bank & Trust), a board member of
Right To Play,
and Sargent also serves as board member for the
Gulf of Maine Research Institute.
