Education: Research Narrative

Within education I have six major research interests and my papers and presentations are organized below under those categories:

1. "Taken for granted that government will be deeply involved in the provision of education, what are the systemic arrangemnts that will lead to high quality basic education?"

2. "Under what conditions does the expansion of education raise aggregate output?"

3. "What are the household correlates (and perhaps causes) of differential schooling attainment?"

4. "Why do governments support education through direct production versus other modes of support?"

5. The fifth are a series of papers in the "educational production function" literature

6. The sixth question, which is a sub-set of the above, is how to apply these to particular countries, with a focus on India.
