This
page is devoted to the memory of Richard C. Jeffrey, who was
one of my two dissertation supervisors. He passed away on
November 9, 2002, at the age of 76. He was a distinguished
philosopher, but first of all, he was a truly wonderful human
being, and unique in ways appreciated by all who knew him.
