Alphonse Mujenda was born in
the eastern region of Democratic Republic of Congo where
Lake Tanganyika is at the center of people’s life. He
graduated from “College Notre Dame de la Victoire,” one of
the most prestigious Jesuit boarding high schools in the
nation before he was selected to attend University in
Belgium. He holds a Bachelor degree (BA) from the well
renowned Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium and a
Masters (MA) in Higher Education from Boston College.
Hauser Center/Harvard U is his first fulltime position in
the USA, as a new immigrant from DR of Congo. Before this,
he was a Financial Director, member of Congo’s Government
Experts Team, and Councilor to Finance Minister - for which
he traveled for conferences in: France, Greece, Holland,
Italy, Kenya, South Africa and Switzerland. He has also
served in the Students Committee for International Students
at Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, and was
appointed as Basket Ball Coach for Junior high school men
and women teams.
