Mid-Career Fellowships Overview
Mid-Career Fellowship
for Justice and Human Rights
The Hauser Center Mid-Career Fellowship for Justice and
Human Rights will provide a student the opportunity to work
with the justice and human rights ‘domain of practice’ at
the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations. The
Mid-Career Fellow will collaborate with the domain team
(currently consisting of faculty director, domain manager,
research associate and program assistant) to bridge
scholars and practitioners working on issues related to
justice and human rights. The position will start in August
2010 and is available to successful applicants to the
Mid-Career Masters in Public Administration program at
Harvard Kennedy School. It will run through May 2011. The
Fellowship includes a $15,000 tuition reimbursement.
Students with unmet financial need will be prioritized.
Mid-Career Fellowship for
Humanitarian and Development NGOs
The Hauser Center Mid-Career Fellowship for Humanitarian
and Development NGOs will provide a student the opportunity
to work with the Humanitarian and Development NGOs ‘domain
of practice’ at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit
Organizations. The Mid-Career Fellow will collaborate with
the Humanitarian NGOs domain team (currently consisting of
a senior research fellow, domain manager and program
assistant) to advance a new strategy focused on bridging
between scholars and practitioners working on issues
related to humanitarian response and international
development. The position will start in August 2010 and is
available to successful applicants to the Mid-Career
Masters in Public Administration program at Harvard Kennedy
School. It will run through May 2011. The Fellowship
includes a $15,000 tuition reimbursement. Students with
unmet financial need will be prioritized.
Mid-Career Fellowship for
Nonprofits in China
The Hauser Center Mid-Career Fellowship for Nonprofits in
China will provide a current student the opportunity to
work with the nonprofits in China ‘domain of practice’ at
the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations. In
collaboration with the domain manager and the Center’s
executive director, the Mid-Career Fellow will participate
in the development of the Center’s focus on the emerging
nonprofit sector in China. The position will start in
August 2010 and is available to successful applicants to
the Mid-Career Masters in Public Administration program at
Harvard Kennedy School. It will run through May 2011. The
Fellowship includes a $15,000 tuition reimbursement.

Mid-Career Fellowship for
Philanthropy
The
Hauser Center Mid-Career Fellowship for Philanthropy
will provide a current student the opportunity to
collaborate with faculty, researchers, and staff, at the
Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations on developing
the philanthropy ‘domain of practice’ at the Hauser
Center. This area of focus seeks to explore the role of
private foundations and philanthropy in the nonprofit
sector. The Fellowship will involve a variety of tasks
from administration to strategic planning. The position
will start in August 2010 and is available to applicants
accepted to the Mid-Career Masters in Public
Administration program at the Harvard Kennedy School. It
will run through May 2011. The Fellowship includes a
$15,000 tuition reimbursement. Students with unmet
financial need will be prioritized.
MPP/MPA New Media
Fellowship
The Hauser Center New Media Fellowship will provide a
current Kennedy School student the opportunity to
collaborate with faculty, researchers, and staff, to assist
directly in creation of content and implementation of new
media initiatives at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit
Organizations. The Fellowship will involve a variety of
tasks from administration to strategic planning to be
integrated into the Center’s work across all of the
programmatic focus areas (which include: philanthropy,
international humanitarian and development NGOs, justice
and human rights, and nonprofits in China). The position
will start in August 2010 and is available to applicants
accepted to a Masters in Public Administration of Master in
Public Administration program at the Harvard Kennedy
School. It will run through May 2011. The Fellowship
includes a $15,000 tuition reimbursement. Students with
unmet financial need will be prioritized.
