Restoring communal living through Pueblo-style housing, the Tsigo bugeh Village offers “traditional living with a modern touch” for Ohkay Owingeh, formerly  San Juan Pueblo.  The Village addresses Ohkay Owingeh’s urgent housing demands with 40 units for single or multigenerational families and offers amenities such as a community center, large meeting space, kitchen area, weight room, computer lab, and laundry room, all in a modern design that echoes traditional patterns of Pueblo living.  Additionally, the Village provides financial education which has resulted in a decrease in delinquent payments from $112,000 in 1999 to $15,000 in 2008.
