Steve Harris, Adjunct Lecturer in Communication, is an education consultant working with K-12 school districts in the areas of school leadership, mathematics and human resources. Prior to becoming principal of Harris Consulting, he served as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for the Kansas City Missouri School District. Steve also served as the Special Assistant to the Superintendent in the Prince George’s County, Maryland School District.
Steve has also served as an Assistant Professor of Education at William Jewell College. Before going into education, Steve practiced law in the areas of employment, education, and immigration.
Steve is currently ABD in the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Urban Superintendents Program. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall) and master’s degrees from Harvard and New York University. Steve’s undergraduate degrees are in mathematics and computer science from William Jewell College.
