From the savage rise of ISIS to the rocket attacks between Israel and Hamas, an increasingly turbulent Middle East has overshadowed Syria's civil war. But while the Assad regime's declared stockpile of chemical weapons has been reduced to zero, the conflict's toll has reached epic proportions: more than 160,000 dead; more than 9 million uprooted from their homes.
