Network Login and Passwords
If you do not have an account yet go to the New Accounts page.
General Information about Network Accounts
ITS creates computer accounts for current faculty and staff to access the HKS network and E-mail.
- Accounts should be requested by the Financial Administrator of each department or center.
- Accounts are disabled on the last day of an employees service at the school. E-mail can be forwarded for up to 30 days after an employee's departure. If an account extension is required please contact HR.
Access to a Colleague's Personal M:/ Drive
Several HKS employees work on others personal drives after they have received permission. IT Services requires that all employees requesting access to another's personal drive fill out a request form. Once complete, you may contact your FSA to pick up the form and return it to IT Services.
Passwords
Change your Passwords (requires login) - The HKS Intranet/Options tab has forms that allow you to change your passwords.

Suggestions for your Password
HKS IT Services does not require users to change their password from time to time. We suggest you do the following to secure your password:
- Select a username that is easy for you to remember. Picking a password that is easy to remember will keep you from writing it down and keeping it close to your computer.
- Do not share your password with anyone at HKS. It is particularly important to not share your password when you are not required to change it.
- Pick a password that is at least 8 characters long. Longer names are more difficult to guess.
- Use a "non-alpha" character. Essentially this means include a number, or punctuation. This will make it harder for a hacker to guess your password.
