Windows Updates and Infected Computers

While IT services does a great deal to protect our servers and network from viruses and worms, viruses can still slip into our system from unprotected desktops and, more often, unprotected laptops (which are usually used in several different locations and on several different networks and, thus, have more exposure).

While McAfee will protect your machine from several malignant applications, updating your Windows Operating System (OS) is also a crucial part of protecting your machine. Microsoft releases regular updates that need to be installed quickly, for the updates are often released in response to a new threat.
