Your E-Mail at HKS

MS Outlook Exchange

HKS uses Exchange for email accounts. The HKS Student Computer Lab can help students with most of their mail problems. Should you have an issue with your mail, Go the the Lab on the Ground Floor of Taubman to start. If you are able to send E-Mail and have a general question you can also reach them with the Student Support E-Mail address.

Microsoft Internet Explorer is the recommended browser, logon to the intranet and click on the email button on the right hand corner to view your mail.

E-Mail Code of Conduct

Mass E-mailing HKS distribution lists is strongly discouraged. Community databases and the daily messages published to HKS Today have been created for distributing information and announcing events. Students should check the Daily News E-Mail message everyday for the latest announcements.

If you wish to send mass E-mails, please look into our information regarding Listservs.

Students may also read our Responsible Use policy for more information about proper use of email.

Student Email Code of Conduct - Information about the proper way to contact your fellow students.

Lifetime Email Address

All HKS students are assigned lifetime E-Mail forwarding addresses when their HKS E-Mail account is created. These addresses can be used immediately and will continue to be used after graduation as an agent for E-Mail forwarding.

To see what the lifetime address is, logon to the HKS intranet.

The format for your lifetime address is as follows:
firstname_lastname@hks10.harvard.edu - john_smith@hks10.harvard.edu

The "10" in the address above indicates that this student is expected to graduate in 2010. Your address will not change if your graduation date is another year.
