Baskin Oran Seminar Series to Begin October 19
From October 19 to November 4, the Kokkalis Program will host the Baskin Oran Seminar Series "Western Impact and Turkey," a series of six seminars held across the University and a rare opportunity to learn from a scholar and practitioner of exceptional note. Dr. Baskin Oran, emeritus professor at Ankara University and one of Turkey's boldest public intellectuals, will deliver all six seminars, examining a number of issues including modernization and westernization, religion-state relations, identity conflicts, and minority rights.
