Welcome to the Austrian German Caucus!!!
Current
Events:
The German-Austrian Caucus
cordially invites you to its famous Viennese Ball on March 5th. For
further details see below.
Who we are
The Austrian-German-Caucus was founded on October 3rd, 1996 in the
tradition of the numerous activities brought to the KSG-community by its
Austrian and German students since 1983. The Caucus is distinct in its goals
from, e.g., the European Club in that it focuses on the role of
German-speaking countries and their special ties to the United States and the
remainder of Europe. Its aims are to foster understanding of the
German-speaking countries and their people at the Kennedy School, at Harvard,
and in the United States at large as well as to promote intellectual dialogue
across cultural and national boundaries among the student body and the
community. The Caucus currently has 173 members containing a representative
mix of the KSG student body in terms of nationality, age, religion, and
gender.
What we do
The Caucus organizes a wide range of activities including the
German Jewish Dialogue, Brown Bag lunches
with Austrian and German officials, forum events with politicians of our
countries, the annual official European Christmas Party, as well as the
legendary annual
Viennese Spring Ball, which has won the
reputation as "Harvard's most formal ball." Watch out for our regular
email announcements.
