Instruction Services
Research Workshops
Research workshops are offered throughout the academic year on basic research topics such as “Find it at Harvard,” Zotero for citation management and research strategies for HKS alumni. All Harvard students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend these workshops. The schedule is posted here.
Research Instruction for Your Students
HKS Library research librarians can work with HKS faculty to develop in-class course-related instructional sessions for students. Designed in collaboration with the course instructor, these sessions include instruction in the use of Harvard University Library print and electronic resources, including accessing topic-specific databases, electronic data collections, and effective research techniques. Research librarians are also available to create course-related research guides and to assist you with locating print and electronic resources for course syllabi and bibliographies.
Personalized Instruction for Faculty, Teaching Fellows, and Course Assistants
Research librarians can help you navigate the complex array of electronic and print research materials provided by the Harvard libraries. We can assist in identifying and locating research resources, formulating efficient search strategies, and locating specific facts and statistics. The research staff also offers individualized instruction using RSS feeds and email alerts to stay current on the latest research in your field.
