Decide which database to use
Citation Linker will open a list of databases to choose from. Links from EBSCO databases such as Academic Search Premier and Business Source Complete are preferred so that cross-registered students can access those articles from home.
If EBSCO isn't in the list of databases, choose from one of the other databases in Step 3.
Locate the permanent link to the article
Now that you have chosen a database, click on the name below to view the relevant instructions.
Academic Search Premier or Business Source Complete (EBSCOhost)
Step 1: Collect the EBSCO persistent link
With the article's abstract displayed on the screen, scroll
down until you find the label, "Persistent Link to this record".
Highlight and copy the displayed URL. If you don't see that URL, make sure you are in the Citation View, not the Full Text View, by clicking on the Citation link.
Step 2: Modify the EBSCO persistent link to accommodate cross-registered students
Paste your copied URL into the space below and click "Create
Link " to generate a link you can use on the Classpage.
These modified EBSCO URLs will not work anywhere except directly on the HKS coursepages. They will not work when placed within Word or PDF documents. The coursepages
have a piece of software on them that tells EBSCO that the user
is an approved affiliate of Harvard.
